Owner and Founder, The "N" Project / WebSpinCity
Born and raised in Queens, New York, "Omega" Johnson began performing duties in the
Information Technology industry since 1996, but his career
truly began to make leaps in 1997 when he first worked as
a consultant with IBM in Melville, New York. He went from
infrastructure support to supervising technical support
agents, all the while learning Lotus Domino's design capabilities
by reverse-engineering database applications.
Omega's work
with IBM included projects for clients such as NASA, Montana
Power Company, and New York Life. In 2000, Omega worked for two years with Sybari Software (now a division of Microsoft Corporation) as a Quality Assurance Engineer, where he also redesigned the HTML help documentation for their Antigen antiviral software. Since parting ways with Sybari, Omrga has gone forward in several positions, assisting to design and maintain a Domino web/wireless
application for Hitachi Software, performing network
administration for the 2004 World Youth Peace Summit, and performing technical duties with the City University of New York (CUNY), as well as instructing
computer courses in the Continuing Education department
at CUNY's Brooklyn College in New York. He is currrently a network administrator with a commodities brokerage, managing the IT resources for one of their divisions.
Omega began working with web design via HTML in 1999, a skill which helped in his various works with both his employers and affiliates from numerous environments. He founded Silvansmith Entertainment in 1999 both to formalize his web design and exhibit his expressions as an accomplished musician, having involved himself in hip-hop culture leading to a modicum of success in the late 1990s and releasing a self-produced CD in 2004. Silvansmith became The Nunayufake (none-of-your-fake) Project in 2002, with the WevSpinCity division formed in 2007 to formally classify the skill set within the organization.
